**Meet Hootie (as in Hootie and the Blowfish) – the Soulful Sun-Chaser**

Thirteen years ago, Hootie was found searching for scraps in a dumpster—skinny, scared, and unsure if the world had a place for him. But the moment he was lifted onto a soft couch, he melted into it with a deep sigh, as if he finally knew: *he was home.*

Hootie is a pit-mutt rescue with a heart big enough to hold a mountain. Despite his rough start, he has spent every day since loving his people with fierce devotion and sweet loyalty. Now a senior gentleman, Hootie still has a playful, spunky streak—rolling on his back and making silly sounds while his humans pretend he's being "tough." It’s his favorite game.

He finds his greatest joy basking in the sun or adventuring in the mountains with his family. Recently, he said goodbye to his beloved fur sister, but he's been showered with even more love, extra walks, and all the cozy naps a dog could dream of.

He has a big bottom lip that gives him that resting pout face.
