Chiffy’s real name is Mischief Managed, but I call him Chiffy for short. He’s been an adorable troublemaker since the day I brought him home, at about 3 months old. His first day home he locked me out of my car; I stepped out for one moment to throw something away and he jumped on the lock button in joy. Then he had the best time ever playing with the awesome stick the AAA man was trying to use to unlock the door. Since then he’s taught himself to quietly shadow unsuspecting toddlers and gently lift cheese or other yummy things right out of their hands without their noticing; open the door of his food cabinet and help himself; and take my exact place, head on pillow and all, if I get up from bed during the night. He also loves to help me garden, and specializes in digging up recently planted bulbs. He’s my sweet, mischievous little gangster, and I love him!
