Tell us about your pet and why they should win!Three years ago, my mom's health was failing and failing fast. We thought we might lose her until a doctor finally figured out she had Parkinsons. After 6-8 months of the right meds and PT, she started bouncing back. But the real "bounceback" happened when she adopted the endlessly energetic Poppy. Poppy's a wee 7 lbs--at least 5 of those are her eyeballs--but is in a personality weight class all her own.
Poppy is weird, really weird. When she's excited, she doesn't bark, she screams. She does a sneaky stealth walk on the stairs to spy on grandsons when they visit. She hunts lizards. Her favorite human treat is Tostitos, which she eats very dramatically (think Cookie Monster). She's rough and tumble and, at the same time, a little lady.
But the best thing about Poppy is that she brought energy and joy to my mom at the time she needed it most. So we're all happy this adorable little weirdo pup is in her life!
