Kubo was rescued from Wake Country Animal Shelter by Cat Tales Rescue in March 2025, not because he was a beautiful creature (“trash gremlin” may have been the affectionate term the vet, Dr. Eve, used when seeing his initial pictures), but because his foster saw something special in him that deserved a chance despite his emaciated condition and severe respiratory infection. Thanks to this AMAZING foster’s dedication and love, Kubo recovered and has found his furrever home. He wakes his owners with chirping, enthusiastic head butts and face pats with his giant but gentle paws. He is still trying his hardest to win over his 3 feline housemates, but who can resist a giant kitten who flops on his side in greeting? The once trash gremlin turned magical creature now reminds Dr. Eve daily that “where there is love, there is beauty ”
(at least that’s how she interprets those morning chirps and head butts)
