Peaches is one of the brave souls rescued during the recent puppy mill bust in Raleigh. Peaches is a gentle soul who endured unimaginable conditions where even the strongest and healthiest birds struggled to survive. Despite being disabled, Peaches managed to stay alive as she was forced to live in filthy, overcrowded, aggressive and stressful conditions.
Likely for the first time, under careful supervision and away from feathery friends, Peaches felt the sun on her feathers and soft ground under her feet. She’s been able to scratch, peck, and explore, simple joys she may never have known.
She’s now safe, but her journey to recovery is just beginning. With individual care, regular beak trims, and lots of love, Peaches will enjoy a happy, healthy life.
