Meet Pugsly — the little rescue pup who completely changed my life.

As a foster, I’ve opened my home to 18 dogs over the last year, helping each one find the loving family they deserved. Pugsly was supposed to be temporary too. He arrived with his two siblings after losing their mama far too soon in an overcrowded shelter system. From the moment I picked him up, I knew his story deserved a different ending.

What started as “just another foster” quickly turned into my first foster “fail” (a horrible phrase because this is a total success)— because Pugsly is simply impossible not to love.

At only 2 months old, he already has the sweetest soul, the gentlest eyes, and a personality bigger than he is. He’s playful, cuddly, curious, and somehow always knows exactly when someone needs comfort. Everywhere he goes, he reminds people that rescue dogs aren’t broken — they’re resilient, loving, and worthy of a second chance.

Pugsly represents everything rescue is about: hope, healing, and finding family when life doesn’t start out fair. From a heartbreaking beginning to becoming the dog I couldn’t let go of, he truly is the perfect little ambassador for rescue.

And honestly? Rescue looks pretty adorable on him.
