We got Desmond from the rescue when he was 3 months old. He was a Shephard (hence the ears 😊) Pitbull mix. Des truly was the best dog a dog mom & dog dad could wish for. He loved swimming, car rides, hiking, playing in the snow, being wherever his humans were, and was a great babysitter with our friends kids. Laying in their tents, under the blanket, or letting the kids dress him up. Des was a huge part in our fostering journey as he set the example and was a role model for our fosters. Showing them the world was a fun place, that everything was ok and they would follow his led. Desmond passed away Nov 2025, he had just turned 9yrs old in Oct. We had no warning he was sick. We went from playing and zoomies to the very next day finding out he had a heart tumor and there was nothing we could do. We only had 9 days till we had to say goodbye. A part of my heart died that day. Winning this contest Des’s memory could live on a little while longer. We miss him everyday
