Penelope came into my life when I graduated college and moved to North Carolina on my own for the first time to pursue my dream of being an ICU nurse. She had been returned multiple times for being a little spicy, but I knew she just needed the right person. Contrary to her fluffy appearance now, she wasn’t fluffy at all when I first met her. These days, Penelope spends her time chatting, singing, and making sure everyone knows exactly what’s on her mind. She’s equal parts sass, personality, and love, and I can’t imagine that chapter of my life—or any chapter since—without her.
