Meet Ren, my absolute best friend and true soul dog. At eight weeks old, I adopted her after a tough start to life. As the smallest of her litter, she was constantly pushed out by the other puppies. Worse yet, potential adopters passed her over simply because of a unique patch of brindle coloring on her side. Their loss was my greatest gain.

From the moment she came home, Ren brought endless joy into my life. She has an adventurous spirit, always eager to explore the world by my side, but she also knows how to take the best naps in the sun. Her absolute favorite pastime is collecting the "cheese tax"—she can hear the kitchen cheese drawer opening from a mile away and comes sprinting in hopes of a snack, always making me laugh.

Ren is so much more than just a pet; she is a bright light who fills every day with laughter and unwavering companionship. I am profoundly grateful to have found her in this lifetime. Ren deserves to be named “Top Dog” because she is living proof that the pups who are overlooked often turn out to be the most extraordinary companions of all.
