Vince believed every human was his friend. Children pulled his ears, strangers grabbed his face. Vince accepted it all in the spirit it was given.

He came to his forever home in Durham, North Carolina in 2013, flying from Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah at five years old, ready to make up for lost time. And he did. Vince loved beaches, mountains, and countless car rides, especially if they ended with a pup cup from Goodberry’s or fries from Chick‑fil‑A.

He was a regular at American Tobacco Campus, holding court in the “big yard” outside DPAC and riding the “magic box” elevator at Old Bull, nose busy with every new smell.

Vince was never a fan of other dogs, except his life partner, Fletcher, another rescued pittie. He’d initially startle, and then amuse, anyone who saw him giving his own reflection what for in the windows of what’s now Fullsteam Brewery.

He lost his partner, Fletcher, in 2020, but never lost his spirit. The gentlest of giants, Vince lived fully until February 12, 2026.

He would have adored making the rounds at the Fullsteam patio, welcoming everyone like they were guests in his world.

Because to Vince, they were.
