My name is Nero. Everyone tells me I am the most adorable and sweetest little guy. Unfortunately, my life didn't start off so great. My first owners neglected me and let my collar get embedded in my neck. I don't understand why--as I always tried to be the very best boy. But they were meanies! Luckily for me, CAS stepped in and saved me. Then, a few weeks later, my dad adopted me back in February. He's the best dad. He understood that I was afraid of the entire world, but he patiently helped me learn how to love and be loved. My dad spends lots of time taking me for walks, watching movies with me, taking me to the beach to play in the ocean, and he even enrolled me in school. I love school. Dad says I am the best student in my class--which is funny, because I am the only student. I love my dog trainer Meagan since she has taught me good manners which makes my dad very happy. Dad says he helped two old buddies over the rainbow bridge last year. It made him very sad. I wish I could have met my brothers and sisters--I am sure we would have had all the fun in the world. I am just glad dad rescued me, and I rescued him in return. I would be a good ambassador because I am a testament to the fact that love heals all wounds. Oh, and dad loves beer!
