Pete is our most recent addition to the rescue, from the Calhoun shelter. He is the sweetest 40lb boy, maybe a spaniel or border collie mix and gives the softest kisses a girl could ask for. Pete was dumped by his owner and cling to the leg of Cheryl, the shelter manager. I saw his photo and immediately reached out. Pete loves kids and cats and will make any family LUCKY to adopt him! Pete is a great choice as an ambassador for Palmetto Rescue Brew because he is a rescue dog from our very own state. He is part of Little Black Dog Rescue because black dogs are the first to be put down in the South and the last to be adopted. He may be a beer drinker but we haven’t gone out to the bars yet due to COVID 🤷‍♀️
