My name is Rufio, leader of the lost shelter boys. I came from Dorchester Paws in February and the past 6 months have been pretty epic! My paw-rents entered me because they believe that Pitbulls have a bad rep and it takes a village to help teach the community about how nice we can be and to not discriminate when you see us. They told me it would be pretty cool if people knew my story and others who look like me. Since I was adopted, I’m working with a trainer for my anxiety about meeting new people coming over to my home. I love bully sticks, sitting on the porch with Dad, giving hugs to Mom and I’m super gentle with my toys- haven’t ripped any of them up! I’m meeting lots of dogs and like to run around with them at the park. I LOVE the ladies😍. Since being adopted, I love my new home and my new family. Life is pretty good now and hope I might be able to show people that those that look like me aren’t scary, we just might need some extra love, time, space and respect to heal and we will be the most loyal to you. I hope to represent Charleston’s rescue community!
