My name is Dex. I was rescued from a local shelter due to an owner surrender( or jail time). I saw a lot of fights around me before the shelter. I was the longest resident there. No one wanted to take a chance on me because I didn’t want to come out to see or meet anyone. My current family saw me on the screen at the shelter while dropping donations off. They came to the shelter two days in a row and forced me to meet and play with them and my current brothers and sisters(3 dogs and 3 cats). A week later I am in a car going to my new home. I was still scared of everything. Loud noises and strangers made me nervous and scared. Things are getting better with me. I am beginning to trust people more. I sleep on my parents bed and couch. They take me for walks and bring other dogs by to play with me. One of my best friends is this crazy cat, my sister Haley! It is love hate. One minute she is snuggling then she all of a sudden swats my face. I take it though because we all know I am really big man in the house but we won’t say anything. I have been at my new house for over a year and six months and life is getting better every day. Our family is always full of love and busy. I love my current HOME!!!
