Hampton came from the Charleston Animal Society shelter in August, 2017. (he was named Pete there). He's a free spirit, to say the least. I would guess he ran away so much that his first family couldn't deal with him. But he and I have become best friends. As you can see, besides jumping fences (I have another picture that's good where I caught him in the act), he doesn't mind jumping into the pluff mud at low tide! And I always keep Palmetto in my beer fridge, so it's a nice match...
