My rescue story is a little different. I got lost and was really scared and confused, I was running down the side of the interstate but couldn’t figure out how to get away from the big scary trucks zooming by. The lady who opened her car for me she thought I’d ride in the back to safety, but I like the front seat view better. We didn’t know each other well but I can be very expressive, with one look I told her “let’s get this show on the road”. So I moved to Charleston! The lady took me to the doctor who said I didn’t have a microchip and after no responses to her postings about lost dog, we just decided to keep each other.
Since then I’ve been a GREAT help to my new mom: I am the Chief Security Officer of the House, making sure everyone knows when a person or dog or seagull or FedEx truck comes by. Once the abandoned house behind us caught on fire, I woke everyone up at 4 AM to let them know. The fireman told mom if they hadn’t been called when they did, the neighbors house may have been lost in the fire too. I’m also great at keeping the bed warm and make sure she knows that “sharing is caring” when it comes to food. That mantra applies to beer too! So that’s why I’d like to be your ambassador.
