Domino was rescued by Charleston Animal Society, from a horrible puppy mill in upstate South Carolina. She and her sister were found weighing just 1.7 lbs, living in a cage with no comfy bed or blanket, . Over 100 chihuahuas were found in crowded rooms being bred for profit, living in their own waste. The dogs and puppies were in wire cages stacked on top of each other with no ventilation or heat. Many of the dogs and puppies were suffering from over breeding and terrible neglect. Domino, along with her sister, was very small and scared and should have stayed for weeks more with her mother, but because of greed the puppies were seperated before they were weaned. She could not eat puppy food and had to be fed special puppy milk formula by bottle. Her progress was slow but she and her sister fought to live! After weeks of specialized care, it was obvious this girl was not going to live in a cage ever again. My daughter Zoe bottle and spoon fed her several times a day. Even after 28 years of working in the shelter and fostering many puppies, (avoiding being a foster fail) this little girl stole our hearts. Zoe adopted her as her very first puppy as an adult and its been a spotted puppy adventure ever since. Please VOTE for DOMINO and help us save many more lives!
