My name is Huck. I was rescued off the side of the road on James Island, weighing only 20lbs and showing off all my ribs. I had heartworms, ticks, and matted fur, so no one wanted to take me in until my mom & dad saw me and couldn’t resist my cute face and naughty attitude! I was used to running through ditches and eating dirt, but now I live in a nice house and have a sophisticated palate for only the finest raw hides. I am now super healthy at 45lbs, and I excel at chewing through dish towels, never returning a ball in a game of fetch, digging up my backyard, and running as fast as I can away from my parents if they don’t lock the front door all the way. In addition to these excellent traits, I am also the star of our neighborhood because everyone always wants to pet me, I am my daddy’s best friend, and I am super protective of my mommy because she’s about to give me my first human sibling!
