I am the best ambassador for the Palmetto Rescue Brew Beer because...
Hi! My name is Poppy and I am an 8lb Miniature Dachshund. I am originally from Atlanta but now I call Charleston my home! I don’t like to talk much about my past, but my rescuers know I was in a very rough place for the first three years of my life. I was kept outside all the time in the heat and cold, and I didn’t even know what it meant to have a friendly human hold and pet me. At first, I was really freaked out when my new mom and dad took me home. They gave me kisses and treats, watched TV on the couch with me, and let me share the bed with them. I thought it was a trap— nobody could do these things just because they wanted to see me happy, right? Well apparently love is real! I am still learning new things every single day, and although I may get a little scared by everyday noises, I make a little progress each day, and with each bit of progress I get closer to my new humans (and I get more treats too!). I think I deserve to be the Palmetto Rescue Brew ambassador because I am living proof that even in a world full of the scariest things, we can all still find a little bit of love and excitement as we grow every single day. Turns out you can teach an old dog new tricks!
