My mom and dad adopted me from the Charleston Animal Society when I was just under a year old. They wanted a dog in their life and I grabbed their hearts immediately as I looked at them calmly and quietly from my section.
When mom and dad were filling our my paperwork to take me to my furrever home, the person helping them out told them that I was epileptic and that I would have to deal with epilepsy my entire life.
Mom and dad knew it could be a struggle, but they wanted to give me the best chance at having the greatest life possible, knowing that my epilepsy and accompanying medication could cut that short.
My name is Ava Marie and almost 3 years after being adopted, I grow more full of energy and hilarious every day! I love my other pet siblings (especially my brother Musidorus, another dog mom and dad have since rescued) and have been seizure-free for almost a year!
I love my parents, siblings and home more than life itself and cannot think of a better spokesdog! I know I am the absolute happiest dog in the world and would be so touched to see my darling face on that can!
