I was in a foster care and was up for adoption when I first met my family. It was just a few days before Christmas and I heard them tell the clerk that they weren't looking to adopt today so I knew if I started purring and roll over on my back they might give me a chance. I made sure I put on the best show by purring, snuggling, and acting super chill. I even gave a pitiful cough for a little extra drama. We were meant to be! They took me home and boy did I fool them! I'm a wild, spunky, big personality tom cat! They named me Dexter! Even though I'm a wild and weird little sh*t, I can be cool as a cucumber and loving when I want to be. I never ever did cough again!
