I was a tiny puppy quietly resting in the window of M. Dumas & Sons clothing store on King street during Charleston Animal Society’s “puppies in the window” promotion during SEWE. A lady came in and picked me up. She said she knew I was the one. I didn’t really know what was going on because I was so tiny. I was only 6 weeks old, if that. When I got to my new home, there was another rescue dog. She was 12 years old and told me life would be good there. It took me a while to settle. I had a hard time teething and learning how to be away from my litter mates, but my new family was patient and loving. They took me to classes where I learned manners and tricks. I gave them lots of snuggles in return. Now that I’m 2 years old, I am learning more manners and making more friends. I love my family and am glad they picked me as their “doggie in the window .”
