Dexter was found as a stray around 10 years ago. When we found him he was starving, dirty and scared. We searched online for an owner and discovered that he was being kept as a watch dog at a local metal scrap recycling center and had escaped after a late night break-in. We let the owners know that we had really fallen in love with him, and they told us we could keep him. Since then he has been happy, spoiled and pampered, insisting on taking up the whole bed every night, and enjoying snuggles with our young son. We are so happy to have such a sweet and wonderful fur baby in our lives, and his story reminds us that rescued pets make the sweetest, most loyal companions.
