My name is Daisy Mae and I am a southern belle from rural Washington, Georgia. I took to the streets with my litter mates at a very tender age when we quickly joined a gang of scavengers looking for food wherever we could find it.

We came upon the trash cans of a kindly lady but soon she had had enough and called the authorities to remove us. We all ended up in the slammer. I, being the most resourceful of the pack of us strays , quickly learned that those of us on our best behavior who knew how to smile for the camera had the best chances of landing on our feet and maybe even falling into the honeypot if we were lucky!

You know how they say "The eyes have it?" Well in my case, "the ears have it!" Some say I look like the flying nun! And no, there is no GSD in my bloodline as far as I know!

A good ATTITUDE also helps and I had plenty of that! Still do! The chihuahua in my HEINZ 57 mix of many breeds helps with this attitude thing.

Enter a cute very old couple who drove many miles and several hours to fetch me from the kind volunteers at Animal Control and the rest , my friends, is history!
