Guess it began on the hunting field, in the forest, or in the stream… where most of us red bone coon hounds work. But years were coming on and since ‘The Handler’ notched my ears with pig shears, guess I always had to do my job … and when I was slow with the pack with my injured torn acl on my leg and hurting, left me behind in the hunting field. The good people of Charleston Animal Society found me, brought me to the shelter, nursed me back to happiness and made my tail wag! They named me Bobby Ray. I had a lady come take me only to return me ‘cause she’s saying she’s got allergies, but a few days later a couple of folks told me I’d be alright and I have had my home with them, happy, retired, and loved ever since. I am home and I am Homer.
