When you are a rescue dog, found by animal control and sent to the Charleston Animal Hospital, no one knows anything about your past. My adopted owners didn't even know my name or age or anything about me. The Animal Hospital called me Pebbles but Cindy and Mike changed my name to Emmy. I was hanging out at Saltwater Cowboy at a CAS event when I got adopted. My very chill nature made Cindy think about my being a therapy dog. After being certified by the Alliance of Therapy dogs and extensively tested by MUSC, I now visit patients at the hospital, especially the Children's Hospital. I hop on their beds and love all the petting I get. My fur is very soft and my eyes are two different colors which is interesting to the kids. Their parents usually take videos of me. I make sure I give lots of love to the doctors and nurses too. They greet me in the halls and tell me how beautiful I am . I love my job at MUSC.
