My name is Mykie Zomkitae. I was born in my hooman's backyard. At about 5 weeks old, they found me all alone under a bush late at night.

They took me in, got me to the vets, got me my own personal litterbox and supplies, and even gave me a flea bath to get those little buggers off of me. I didn't care for the bath. Anyhow, they did all of this never having owned a cat before.

They had intended to foster me and find me a loving home, but little did they know I liked the new digs. I worked my charm on them, and got to stay! Just like I planned.

They are incredible mimes constantly acting out what they want me to do and not to do. And that's because I can't hear. I am 100% deaf. Had they not found me, I don't think I would've survived on my own being that my wonderfully white, floofy coat is not great for camouflage. Plus, I wouldn't hear any predator sneaking up to make me a meal like the snack that I am.

So instead of living outdoors, I now live with my hoomans in Charleston. I have head scratches and nightly sips from the sink on demand. In return for the love and company, I sing my hoomans the song of my people in the wee hours of the morning. They say I'm too loud, but their complaints fall on deaf ears. Literally.
