Well it all began in the summer of 2010. I was walking through the parking lot of the local dollar store when a human drove by and said "Hi Kitty." I eyed her warily, responded "meow" and kept walking to the back lot in search of food. A few minutes later the lady came around the corner with some treats-they looked so good but I was leery. Hunger took over and I let her pick me up and take me for a ride...to the vet's office. The lady called for daily updates then got the full doctor's report when she visited: I was estimated 8 YO, weighed only 4 pounds, faint feline leukemia +, and my head was swollen with a severe sinus infection. The doctor said the lady saved my life. When she asked about the bill they said "no charge", then handed her all my meds and said "Congratulations Mom and kitty!" Mom nurtured me back to health-I am even feline leukemia negative! I love lounging in the sunlight, snuggling with mom and using my innocent face to get her food. 11 years later and mom still says I rescued her.
