Ziggy is the ultimate rescue dog and man of action and adventure! Adopted at age 10 from the Carolina Poodle Rescue, Ziggy doesn’t say much about his life before Charleston, but he seems to have adopted it as his native city. From brunch at Rue de Jean, to visiting Fort Moultrie, to nights on Goat Island, and lazy days on Front Beach, he truly embraces the Lowcountry lifestyle. He works full time at Novus Architects in Mount Pleasant, and is very crucial to the Lunch Crumbs Pick-Up Team. But there’s no rest for the working dog, and at home this seven-pound senior has two 50-pound siblings (rescued from Charleston Animal Society and Libby and Mace’s Place) to keep in line. During Covid times he has opened his home to 12 foster dogs, and found them loving furever families. Ziggy has spent the last two years traveling to Seattle, Key West, Nashville, Edisto, Charlotte, Hilton Head and more. He loves to travel by plane, bicycle, sailboat, bus, car and of course his own personal stroller. He is slightly TikTok famous (@ZiggyBird) with over 2600 followers, and has been recognized around town…once. Ziggy doesn’t drink beer, he’s a dog, but if he did, it would be Palmetto Brewing!
