We rescued Piper 6 months ago. She is the most grateful, proud, loving, fur baby ever! Most of all, everything she does, she tackles with pride. Whether it’s tempting the ocean for a swim for the first time or joining a new playgroup for the first time. She hesitantly jumps in and prances out exuding pride..it’s as if she’s done it for us. She is so incredibly smart. Truly, there isn’t a word she doesn’t understand! We are so grateful for her and she for us. We think she was returned to her shelter multiple times as her first days out with us, she shook with fear. We called the shelter to say how in love we were with her and they said ‘oh we were so fearful you were going to return her.’ No. Never. As the saying goes, ‘dogs have a way of finding the people who need them & filling an emptiness we didn’t know we had.’ So true. So so true.
