Tell us why your pet is the best ambassador for the Palmetto Rescue Brew Beer (from your pet's perspective)
I rescued this nutty mutt from the Charleston Animal Society when he was about a year old. I went in to sign up to foster, and he was in the “dog of the day” kennel. He was called “Screech”, and with good reason. He was a very vocal fellow if he felt frustrated. His kennel at the shelter had the sign “I Need Enrichment!” His intake report said, “BAR. Very afraid, but no sign of aggression.” BAR means “Bright, Alert, Responsive.” That is my Buddy! He had to be dosed with a tranquilizer at the shelter because he really hates to be restrained or contained. While it was a struggle to get him to calm down, I can say now that he is a joyful companion, a polite host to canine visitors, calm in the car, great at the dog park and daycare, well-behaved with the cats even when they are not so with him, and an all around good dog. He is still BAR, though the R also stands for Rambunctious, and I love him to bits. So glad we took a chance on you, little man. And so glad you were up for it! It might have been a failed foster visit for me, but it was the perfect rescue story for us and makes Buddy a great Rescue Beer mascot.
