From Kiwi's perspective: If you're looking for a spokescat with a sweet demeanor and stubborn side, then I'm your girl! I was rescued by my family after I was left in an apartment to fend for myself as a kitten. My human sister was born in Mt. Pleasant and attends college in Charleston now. My dad is a beer snob and thinks it would be cool to drink from a can with my beautiful face on it. They are also contributors to the shelter they adopted me from and have thrown yearly birthday party fundraisers to help animals still waiting for their forever home.

From her family: We adopted Kiwi from the Humane Society in Athens GA when she was 6 months old. Black cats are special, and for the superstitious, are often overlooked by adopting families because their color is associated with bad luck. She is the sweetest, most loving cat and is a special part of our family. We can't imagine our lives without her!
