For almost 2 years, I was alone in Kentucky with no one to love. Then my family found me at a shelter in NJ and literally overnight was now living with a family who loved me. But living in a junkyard as a puppy made it difficult to trust and love back. My new family was persistent though and after a year or so, I found that my heart was filled with their love. I have been blessed to live in area with lots of deer, squirrels and chipmunks (my favorite). Fours years ago, I couldn’t see well out of my left eye…cancer! So after a successful surgery, I still remain cancer free but tend to bump into things on my left side (Dad reminds me “left side, blind side). Anyway, while I have the heart of a lion and the intelligence of a scientist, I am thankful for all that has been offered to me!
