To the judging humans,

I am the captain now (said in my best Captain Phillips voice). I stole my human’s heart on Instagram, when she saw that someone rescued me from being dumped in a Starbucks parking lot. Which is ironic because I now require pup cups for maximum happiness. Anyways, I have a checkered past with lots of scars I don’t like to talk about. I used to be very unhappy, but you’d never know with all my new smiles. My human won me over with her incessant praise and treats, but I’ll always have my sass to protect my heart. Catch my side eye one day, you’ll see. Now that I’m running my human’s show, we have been adventurous. This photo was a pit stop while kayaking on the Folly River. I took over as captain and did a swimming zoomie before nearly tipping it over on my climb back in. I’m on top of the world and can’t believe I was ever treated so badly as a puppy. Who would be able to resist these ears?! I think they missed out though, my new mom gets all of my aggressive cuddles and kisses now. Together we make each other better and I want all the sad puppies out there to know that some humans are pretty awesome. Stay strong, life will get better!
