My name is Whiskey and I'm a hardworking, determined, never-give-up kind of guy (or dog)! When I was 2, I developed an infection in my spine that left me without use of my back legs. The nice ladies at Carolina Boxer Rescue took me in and found me a wonderful foster family where I was given "wheels," lots of love and medication to help me get better. When my foster family traveled for work, I came to stay with another family in Charleston, SC. This is where I met the "twins" of Pawmetto Paws Canine Therapy. They specialize in dog physical therapy and in just a few months I was able to stand on my own and eat!! They did all sorts of fun exercises with me and kept telling me "you're gonna walk again, Whiskey." Sure enough, I am now able to stand, walk and even do stairs without assistance. I can play with other dogs and make friends with every human I meet. I am the epitome of perseverance and grit. I've got heart and it shows by how far I've come in a year. You should see me run!! I'd be honored to be your ambassador as I believe I set an example for all dogs who are facing adversity. All it takes is a lot of hard work, a good home and people who love and believe in you. love, Whiskey
