One February, I ran into the doors of the emergency department during an ice storm. I was looking for help. The nurses brought me inside, warmed me up, and my mom took me home. I was only 3 pounds, malnourished, and had been abused. There was gravel up my nose and wounds on my ears and paws. I now live in a loving home. My dad, who never liked cats before, said "we won the cat lottery." I like to sleep on his head. Rescuing cats (and even dogs) is one of the most important things you can do.
