NICO is the quintessential rescue dog or Mississippi Mutt as the many dogs adopted from Little Mountain Rescue (MS) are called in our dog friendly island of Nantucket. NICO is slightly goofy looking, a mix of black lab, heeler, terrier, pittie…most likely. He has some quirks…he takes a minute to get comfy with new humans but once he crosses the threshold, he is a lovebug. He’s a great bro to his canine sisters, always up for endless mad dog laps around our house, his 40lbs. outrunning their 60lbs. He will drop everything to hunt squirrels, mice & moles. At 6 years, he’s matured into a pup that always listens to his humans, snuggles in bed with us every night, steals the hearts of many a human girl and his companionship makes everyday more joyous.
