I’d make the best ambassador because I’m an old southern gentleman. I was born in Georgia, was rescued and brought to New York, and now I’m living my best retired life in sunny Florida.

Despite being 10 and a half, I’m as energetic and as spry as I was as a puppy—age is “just a number!”

I’ve had my share of issues over the years and have been able to overcome them all and have come out “on the other side.” At a very young age, I ended up at a kill-shelter and was rescued by my Mom. After being rescued by my Mom, I had some behavioral challenges, so we worked with a trainer to correct some of my bad habits, which were mostly due to my trauma, but with kindness, love, and care, I transformed into a “new dog.” In my adult years, I started to put on some weight and the vet was concerned. During this time, there was a scary incident that happened where I had a blood tumor on my spleen that ruptured and I was internally bleeding…this was the scariest thing ever! Mom rushed me into emergency surgery, they kept me at the hospital for 2 days and then I made a full recovery. Phew, I was so glad I was okay! After that, Mom put me on a new diet and we started going on more walks and my extra weight came off!

I’m now a happy, healthy senior living my best life!
