I joined my family at a time when they really needed me - they told me they'd just lost a wonderful rescue pup named Jake that they'd had for 13 years. I lived with another really great senior rescue pup of theirs named Annie that they'd had for a long time, but she also passed away about a month after I came along. I had big shoes to fill, trying to fill the void left in their hearts by losing two awesome dogs in a six week span, but I did my best! I learned to go outside to potty immediately, and I cuddled with them every chance I got! Last weekend I got a brother from a different rescue, and we're absolute best buddies already, but he wasn't here to see my mom and dad's heartbreak, so he doesn't know just how much they need us. I'm going to work to be the best pup ever, so eventually there won't be any more empty feeling from Jake and Annie. It's hard work, but I'm up for it!
