Ashley is an alumna of the Charleston Animal Society. She was adopted as a two-year-old for Christmas Eve 2017 to be the companion of a senior yellow lab whose human siblings were in sports activities and not home as much anymore. Ashley took her new role as Jake's playmate and friend very seriously. From wrestling on the floor to walking on the beach and around the lagoons together, she added joy to the older dog's last few years. She loved learning what snow was in her second home in Ohio but her heart is in the Low Country. As soon as she smells the salt air and pluff mud she takes a deep breath and makes her happy howl. Ashley is now approaching her senior years herself and has made new fur friends along her journey. Ashley is a typical shelter dog - a pit bull mix with a huge heart and lots of kisses- hoping someone will take a chance on them.
