I was the last of my litter. When I was 5 months old my human brought my fur mom and me to be spayed/neutered at Anderson County Humane Society. My human couldn't take care of me - I have a LOT of energy - so I stayed after my surgery. I lived there for three months spending 12 hours in a kennel and 12 hours alone in a small outdoor gated area. I was treated kindly but the facility generally cared for cats and was not prepared for big old me! I wasn't aware that my new human Mom, Dad and Fur Sister were coming to meet me very soon. They came the day before their vacation and fell in love with me! Seven days later I moved in to my forever home. I was nervous and unsure at first...but now, nine months later, I have a great life!! I love to camp, take walks, play in mountain streams and catch tennis balls. I am super smart, happy and handsome. A Lucky Dog am I. A perfect example of why a rescue makes perfect sense for both the rescuers and the rescued and that is why I am the perfect spokespup!!
