Hello! My name is Valley Marnell. When I was young, I became lost and starving for what seemed like forever. I don’t know why or when I was abandoned. I was in a rural area and lived on bugs and pond water. As time went by, I became very weak and sick. I had bites from other animals, including fleas and ticks. A woman tried to coax me toward some food, but I was so afraid. Finally, she put some food in a cage and was able to catch me. She took me to a doctor and gave me medicine for my bites and nursed me back to health. Sadly, she couldn’t keep me. I loved her very much, but she had a friend that said she would take me. Her name is Carol and she had 2 dogs, a lot of cats and horses. I wasn’t very happy at first about this situation. As time went by, I began to understand that this would be my forever home. I would be fed good food and loved. My mom plans to take me to classes this fall to learn new tricks and meet other dogs. Now, I am learning to trust people. I am so grateful to be loved and to feel safe. I go to the beach often and love running and playing in the water! Thank you for the opportunity to fundraise for your lifesaving organization! Many more animals need to be saved. I am a lucky dog!
