After living outside and hunting my own food for so long some nice humans brought me inside, cleaned me up, and fed me. Although I now felt safe, I was terrified and felt defeated - was I to stay in this cold lonely place forever?

Then I saw her. From the second she walked into that room I immediately knew I had to go home with her. I put on my big sad eyes and caught her attention - I didn’t even leave her with a chance to see any of the other cats. From the second she held me I felt safe and I made sure to let her know by purring and laying on her chest.

It wasn’t easy at first being in a new place, but I quickly settled in although I kept my distance. It took me a couple of years to really trust her, but move after move I finally felt like she was never going to leave me feeling like I once did. Now I never leave her side! She is my human.

Now, my mom and I help other young kittens like myself feel comfort and love while they wait for their forever human. These so called “fosters” sometimes annoy me, when all they want to do is play, but I know that by teaching them to be more like me that they too will find their human.
