I adopted Lainey from the Humane Society of Delaware County after I had worked there for 4 months. It’s a “hazard” of the job - almost all of the employees there have adopted animals. Lainey is a German Shepherd/Border Collie cross, is about two years old, and loves to go on long hikes every day. She is smart, attentive and loyal. I am still trying to convince her to stop chasing my cats. She lives with me, my other rescue dog Piper, horse Gracie and mini mule Millie, on ten acres in northern Delaware County.
