Otis joined our family in 2021 as a young adult. He was found in rural Kentucky, and initially named, “Cowboy” likely due to his beautiful large spots. He became the little brother of sweet Sallie Mae, also adopted from RescuedOhio in 2019. He brought out her youthful energy on walks and backyard shenanigans, and also brought out her voice, barking at squirrels and other critters passing by. Otis lost his big sister earlier this year and despite his own heartbreak, has provided so much love and comfort to his parents, adjusting to life without her. He is incredibly handsome and talented in tracking squirrels and protecting the household. He learns quickly, and is laser-focused on routine: he serves as Mom’s alarm to deliver his nightly dental bone. He is our bright light and reliable snuggle buddy when we need it most.
