A little about me...
After losing my sixteen-year-old pup in 2022, it took about two years to be ready and able to look for a dog again. Cookie was picked up on a reservation in South Dakota when she was about a year old. She was placed with a wonderful foster family who had her for a whole year! Cookie had a hard time getting adopted because she is very timid and hates hard floors. Even though it wasn't love at first sight for her, we felt she was the dog for us. It took a lot of patience, energy, and effort to get to where we are today with a happy, loving Cookie. Most of our dog family neighbors have been very invested in her journey and are quick to praise her for her progress. She even takes treats and lets them pet her now! She's come such a long way and has filled the two-year hole in our hearts. We look forward to adopting a little fur brother or sister for her in the next year!
