Dog's Story
July 20th, 2014 was Louise's "Gotcha Day," or the day we adopted her and brought her back to her forever home for keeps! My husband and I were so excited that day, we had just bought a house with a fenced-in yard because we knew all along that we'd be looking to rescue a dog to make our family and home feel more complete. Louise (previously Amber) came to us as a 2 year old with a lot of love to give, thanks to her foster family from ROEB (Rescue Ohio English Bulldogs) who spent time getting her more adjusted from her troubled beginnings before placement. At first she was a bit unsure about loud noises and walking on hardwood floors, but in no time she was already the master of her domain and a little social butterfly. She could sit, stay and was potty trained (mostly) when we adopted her from the rescue, but after a few months she can also give high fives, lay down, and play fetch like a pro as well! It seems clear now that Louise was the missing piece in our family, the void we didn't even realize fully that we were lacking. Her big eyes and adorable under-bite are a daily reminder of unconditional love and support. No matter how sad or scary life was before we met one another, I know we'll turn it all around and build a happy life together! Thank you so much ROEB for everything! :)
