A little about me...
Mabel was born in North Carolina and found herself, as a very young kitten, alone and fighting for her life in Hurricane Florence. When she was found by rescuers, she had developed a severe upper respiratory infection that threatened her eyes. Veterinarians tried to save her eyes, but were unsuccessful. Mabel found her way up to Buffalo via a rescue and into the loving arms of her family. You’d never know that she is blind! She navigates her home just as well, if not better, than her 5 “siblings”. Her favorite activities include finding boxes and paper bags to hang out in, cuddling with her three-legged brother, Stanley, rough-housing with the newest addition, Marty, who is blind in one eye, and helping Lucy, aka, Momma Potts, to lose weight.
