A little about me...Myla is a superhero not because she wears a cape, but because of everything she has overcome—and the way she continues to show up with love every single day.
She didn’t start her life in a safe or gentle place. Born into a situation where she was neglected and mistreated, Myla learned early what it meant to be afraid and to go without. She was even chased and shot at simply for trying to survive and find food. But even after all of that, she didn’t give up. That resilience—her will to keep going despite fear—is where her superhero story truly begins.
When she was finally rescued and brought to Final Victory Animal Rescue, she was scared and hurting, both physically and emotionally. It was clear she had been through more than any animal should have to endure. But even then, with time, patience, and care, she started to heal. Little by little, she learned that people could be safe. She learned to trust again. That transformation takes a kind of bravery most of us can only imagine.
Then she found me—and that’s where two healing journeys met. I saw her on Petfinder and knew, deep down, that she was meant to be part of my life. At the same time, she arrived carrying more than just her past—she brought hope, comfort, and a quiet understanding that we needed each other.
Since then, Myla hasn’t just been a dog in my home—she’s been a constant source of comfort, love, and healing. She’s my shadow, my companion through every day, and the steady presence that helped mend my heart after loss. She gives unconditional love without asking for anything in return, and that kind of loyalty and emotional support is nothing short of extraordinary.
What makes Myla a superhero is her courage to trust again after everything she’s been through, her strength to overcome fear, and her ability to love so deeply despite her past. She didn’t just survive—she chose to love, to heal, and to build a bond that means everything to both of us.
In many ways, I saved her—but in just as many ways, she saved me. And together, we’ve become each other’s greatest rescue
