A little about me...Gertie was rescued from Second Chance Boxer Rescue. We think she’s more Olde English Bulldogge than boxer with her bowed legs, short/thick stature and underbite. The poor girl was a mother rescued from a puppy-mill in Ohio, at which she presumably had two litters of puppies before even turning two. She came to us not knowing how to eat out of a food dish, how to play with toys, and just didn’t know how to be a normal dog. A year later with us, and she has grown into the most amazing, loving, gentle family member. She loves to play the maternal role with our 4 year old boxer, who couldn’t be happier having her as a sister. She’s finally spoiled like a dog should be and we can just tell by her looks and wags that she is forever grateful for her new life.
